OpenVPN on Windows
Start by downloading the most recent OpenVPN client from OpenVPN.net.
Download OpenVPN for Windows, and double click on the application to install it.
In order for Vista to continue you will have to grant permission for the install to continue.
Select the install location, the default is ok.
Install the TAP network driver, this is inportant for OpenVPN to work properly.
The install continues.
The install is complete, click "Next" to finish.
Now you need to download the Windows configuration files from the Self Service section. After the download is complete un zip the files and copy them as shown.
Paste the configuration files into "Local Drive (C:) > Program Files > OpenVPN > config"
Vista will ask you permission to past the files.
Make sure to start OpenVPN "As Administrator" or traffic will not be routed over the VPN properly. Then select either UDP or TCP VPN to connect to. UDP is suggested because of less overhead.
Now you are connected to the vpn once the icon turns green.
